Internet Explorer 7 Has A Problem After I Close It(vista) - FAKE Problem

Ronel
Is this another of the gimmicks of Vista? huh.gif huh.gif

After Vista was installed on this computer, almost every time I close the last IE window, it says that there has been an error, which did not happen so it's a fake problem, asking me to either seach a solution to the problem or restart it.

I'm already fed up with it. I need to stop this madness. mad.gif

Is this REALLY a problem?
I really doubt it. No problems happen!

I'll send a picture later proving it's so so true.

It's not because you don't see anything going wrong that there hasn't gone something wrong. IE probably just crashed when you closed and that's why Vista wants to send a report. Just turn the error reporting off and you wont have to problem anymore smile.gif . Also make sure you have the latest patches and bugfixes installed.

I think you also need a very thorough cleanup of your registry - there are lots of tools out there to do that - not sure how many will work under Vista.

Are you sure? mellow.gif

I have just finished cleaning up the computer using the Disk Cleanup when I snipped the file using Snipping Tool.

Let's not confuse Disk Cleanup - which goes through things like temporary Internet files deep under your Documents and Settings folder and removes old stuff - with a registry cleanup - that fixes inconsistencies in your registry.
But here is something you might want to try.
Google "ccleaner" or go to http://www.ccleaner.com/ directly and perform all the scans available in this tool. It does both registry and file cleanup.

Your IE crashed. Next time when it crashes, please also post the screenshot with "View Problem Details" expanded (button on the bottom left of the box).

Windows Vista reports most of its problem compared to its predecessors, so you'll get what just happened to your software.

Try a windows update or something like that. Also you can search around for registry cleaners that might also help fixing the problem.

Only my suggestions as i don't have vista yet, still on xp here.
There is a possibility it could be a driver error or something like that but i doubt it. Also it could be a corrupted file in the internet explorer directory.

Hope it helps

This Is Really Simple To Repair! smile.gif All You Have To Do Is Be The Admin. I Know What Your Thinking I Am An Admin! Well The Main Admin Account In Vista Seems To Be The Real Admin Account. Here's How I repaired It. smile.gif

Step 1: Right Click My Computer, Then Manage. Go To Local Users And Groups. Then Users. Then You Should See The Admin Account Disabled. Right Click And Go To Properties. Uncheck Account Is Disabled. Next Move All Your Documents And Crap You Got To The Admin Account.

Step 2: Once You've Moved Everything From Your Account To The Admin Account, Login To The Admin Account And Delete Your Old One (In Manage Users). Now Go Back To Users In Manage And Right Click Administrator And Go To Properties. Next Under Full Name Put In The User Name Of Your Old Account. Then When You Go To The Start Menu It Will Look The Same smile.gif

Hope This Helped You smile.gif

It Worked For Me 100% I Had The Same Problem With IE On Vista

Enjoy! smile.gif
