This is hilarious, firstly, there is basically no big difference between Windows and Mac. Safari is pretty well equipped just like IE. Speaking of difference, Mac's code is way simpler than Windows. There is no reason why some websites wouldn't be able to display on a Mac computer. If you have the components, such as Flash/shockwave players or other ActiveX controls, all websites would be able to view in the Mac. The only other drawback for Macs is that the interface is totally different from that of Windows. My computer = Finder. Macs are also pretty fast, although most games made for Windows take awhile to be converted to be compatible for Macs. Apple is a great company, first and one of its kind. Windows just "copied" their ideas. If windows supports a certain type of program not affliated to Microsoft, then Apple computers would most definitely support it too. Not forgetting the cool dockbar, totally original! tongue.gif

I can't believe how dumb and ignorant M$ junkies can be. Not just stuff like this; upon the mere mention of a Mac, people will start saying stuff like the following:

What's this this you call a "Mac?" Isn't that a toy for Kiundergarteners?

There are still some rare IE6 only web-sites out there.

Here is an English job cntre page (the gonvernment)

http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/cms.asp?Pa...s/Searchforajob

On NON IE6 browsers, all 4 job search boxes are empty, on IE6 they are full of job adverts.

ive tried spoofinh the User-Agent in firefox, this doesnt work.

I have tried the following browsers..

Mozilla Konqueror Epiphany Firefox links.

Would a mac user care to try safari ??

Some banks are IE6 only too, but not mine fortunatly smile.gif

Macs are better? For what? Draining the bank account?

Yeah, they're on the expensive side. But they're much easier to use than a PC, and a PowerPC processor is the equivalent of an x86 at twice the chip speed. biggrin.gif

No, the PPC processors are nothing special. I am a mac user, but I hate this BS. The PPC is no better than x86 chips. They are good, but they aren't magic or special or 'twice as fast' or any of that. Such statements are marketing/PR hoodoo.

I tested in Safari and Firefox on Mac, and there were contents in the boxes.
Plus on Safari it would not even redirect to the page, I had to copy the redirected link from Firefox.
But still, Mac is better, IE-bug based sites should not be valued too high. Ey, and what do I need a job in the US for ^^.

I think, the IE's buggy interpretation of code should not be standard on the web, sad thing it is the most common browser. Even though I have big hopes in Firefox

Remember that you can download Mozilla Firefox (and usually its derivatives like Flock) on a Mac. If Safari isn't displaying your pages properly, you can use a different browser.

There are a few IE only sites, such as Yahoo! LaunchCAST music player. Of course on a Mac, you don't need to worry about Microsoft Updates.

But I don't think there is an actually noticeable amount of IE-only sites.
