  1. Internet Connection Hack - Is it possible to ahck or use people's internet connection (7)
It is possible. If you have wifi on your laptop, run the search function. It will show you which
networks are available in your location. They may be coded however. But you will be surprised how
many free services there are, and how many people do not realize they have not secured their
network. If you find a connection with a small box in the right corner, it means it's an ad-hoc
network. You may try to connect but not be able to, but if you can't, just run the network set
up wizard, wait until it finds it then add it ! Otherwise, if you can only get secured net...

I use a SAMSUNG SGH-C200N handset coupled with Airtel (a GSM Service Provider in Asia) GPRS to
connect to the internet. Here is a review about my Internet Connection - Points > By default
Windows always shows the connection speed to an outstanding 115.6 KBps. Although, from what I have
seen via the connection status, when downloading files from a good server, the maximum speed that I
get is around 5 Kbps. During the peak hours, the connection's speed deteriorates and the data
transmission becomes intermittent. Every Page (except for good ol' Google)...

  4. Internet Getting Slower And Slower - (8)
Lately, my computer's internet has been getting slower and slower. When I check the connections
established in all my programs, there is my usual programs running. When I test the connection on
another computer, it was also slow. The ping rate between my computer and the router is <1ms, so I
don't think its the router problem. From 500 kb/s, it changed to 300kb/s, 100 kb/s and now its
30kb/s. Could it be a problem with the ISP?...

  6. Setting Up Wireless Internet For Mac Os - (7)
Hi, I just got my iMac today and want to set it up to have wireless internet using my DSL Router. I
got a USB Wireless Adapter (for the Mac OS) and installed the drivers for it. Then I restarted and
plugged in the USB adapter. The manual said a flashing icon should be on the upper left, but I
didn't see this. So I went into the Preferences (I think) and found the 802.11b adapter there.
I clicked on it and on the left, chose Create... I left it at Access Point (hope that's
correct) and set it to 26 digits for the password. Currently I'm using 128 bit en...

  9. Share Internet Using Router And Modem That Uses Usb? - (13)
Today I was trying to setup shared internet for someone and was having lots of problems with it.
They are using AOL DSL and had their ISP's modem. They have a Linksys router (forgot what
model...WRT something) and I tried almost everything I can think of to no avail. Here is the
problem. The modem connects to the computer using USB ONLY. It has an ethernet adapter in the back

hour, I came to some "conclusion" that the other machines need the modem to be connected via ...
  10. Yahoo Chat Rooms... Scum Of The Internet - (25)
Does anyone DISagree with me on this? I mean, the yahoo chat rooms are FULL of guys looking to
cyber, older guys looking to cyber, guys pretending to be girls looking to cyber, and porn bots.
People are VERY VERY fake in there. Granted, people aren't always what they seem in chat rooms,
and I guess you can say everyone is a bit fake in one way or another online, but, I think this

extensions, like sharing the telephone line? ...

  14. Server Slow On LAN, Fast On The Internet - (16)
Hey, Here's a weird problem I've encountered. On my test server running CentOS and Apache2
w/ the Apache2 Manual installed and accessible from the web, everything seems fine. So I access it
via my home network on which the server is located and the manual loads like I'm on a 56K
connection. To give you an idea of the speed, it's just a tweak faster than using MySpace during
peak hours. MySpace is still slower than my server though. But today at school, I try it and the

to the internet when I boot into Kubuntu (I also tried Ubuntu). I am thinking maybe it has something
