i am a serious gamer, and i want to upgrade my computer in time for christmas. So i wanted to know
your opinion on which of the following graphics cards would be best for the job i want to do:
Sapphire Radeon X1300 256MB (PCI) Sparkle GF 6600 512MB (PCI) Gigabyte GF 6600 Turbo SLI 128MB (PCI)
Any other graphics cards within the price range of £0-£100 Also, does the memory of the card only

I'm going to buy a new graphics card for my ASUS A7N8X-VM 400 Motherboard. It has an integrated
nVidia GeForce 4mx GPU, but I've decided it's time to upgrade cause I'm learning Maya
these days (also, all the new games need pixel shader support). What I'm worried about is which
graphics card is supported on my Motherboard. My motherboard supports 8x graphics 1.5V. Here are

Hello, I have RPGMaker, and I require some Sprite Sets and Graphic sets for the system. Some
different tiles, and things like that. It's all pretty well 2D but if there are some 3D looking
graphics that can be applied to the tile-like format of RPGMaker I'd love to see that website.
Does anyone else have some suggestions to different RPG Creating Modules? Or perhaps other ideas on
programs that can create RPG Gaming formats all together? I only have ideas at this stage so any
help would be appreciated. I'm not really trying to make a game for millions m...

I have just started programming in c++ and have a DOS game set up that would benefit greatly from
some graphics/animations. unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, and to amke
matters worse, have no idea as to how to add graphics in general. so my question to everyone else
is: how do I add graphics to my dos application? if it helps I am using the Dev-Bloodshed compiler,
and would be willing to switch. looking for help, Asphinx...

I have finally decided to get a dedicated Graphics card for my PC. My budget is around 300 USD. I
have been going through the models at nVidia's website and found the models (8600 GT & 9600 GT)
to my liking. My friend suggests that I should go for 8800 because it provides greater performance
than 9600 GT. To me, perfomance is not as big a factor as compatibility, in terms of being able to
play the latest games, is. In that respect is it better to go for the chip which offers higher
memory? My motherboard is Intel 915GAG which supports PCI Express. Will a model stated...

So I was playing around with properties. I went to Desktop > Right click > properties > settings >
advanced > adapter > properties and on the devie usage thing, I "accidentally" clicked disable..
Now I think that my graphics driver is not properly functioning... Can anyone help me? Thanks in

Hey all, I'm looking for someone who's got good experience in Graphics Programming
(Algorithmic Graphics as opposed to PhotoShop and the likes). I require someone who'd work with
me in a joint venture in running a graphics oriented site - that'd involve a lot of coding using
PHP's GD/Imagemagick libraries. However, experience in any other language (C++/C#/VB.NET with
GDI+) would do just fine... coz the same algorithms can be implemented in any given language with

Can anyone recommend a good book For advanced modern graphics programming ? The Last book I read
"Ultimate Game Programming With DirectX-9" was quite useless. I have experimented with Direct3D 9,
and OpenGL 1.5 on and off for a while now, and want to learn all the advanced stuff. Cg is my
shader language of choice, c/c++ for the usual stuff... and completely avoiding all that Visual
Basic C# .NET Rubbish... Thanks. I was considering the Cg tutorial book by nvidia, but it has some
bad reviews on Amazon. ...

I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card sometime soon. I currently have a 256mb nvidia
geforce 6600. The main question is buy a 7900gs or an 8800 series card I'm looking at the
gigabyte 7900gs, because i have a gigabyte motherboard i'm guessing this would be better for
compatibility. Anyways out of the 4 brands of 7900 my local store sells, the gigabyte is the most
overclocked and feature packed. I can pick this one up for $235 australian dollars. Now, the 8800

In all my years of web and graphic designing, I have a few main sites, such as gettyimages.com ,
that I go to for stock photos, or ones like atpictures.com for celebrity photos. What kind of
sites, if you prefer those over stock CDs, have you found to be the most helpful in your designing,
and, if there's a specific reason, why. What are the pros and cons of your favorites? Me,
personally, I like Getty because it seems to be the main source for all sorts of graphics for all

Say you would like to make a website made in say tables with background pics to create the entire
layout of the site, how would you go about actually DESIGNING the graphics and making everything
blend in seamlessly. I have been having a lot of trouble actually coming up with smooth flowing
graphics that dont detract from the usability aspects yet still looks good! Im not sure if this
would be the right section or maybe it should be in the graphics but its got aspects of both....

customized for our board. There seems to be no derth of good graphics designers on our board - so
