Graphics and Animation

i am a serious gamer, and i want to upgrade my computer in time for christmas. So i wanted to know
your opinion on which of the following graphics cards would be best for the job i want to do:
Sapphire Radeon X1300 256MB (PCI) Sparkle GF 6600 512MB (PCI) Gigabyte GF 6600 Turbo SLI 128MB (PCI)
Any other graphics cards within the price range of £0-£100 Also, does the memory of the card only

The 2 programs i use most are Macromedia Flash and 3D Studio Max. I can get a good fire effect in
max, but im totally lost when i get into Flash. Does anyone know a good tutorial or have some
personal knowledge on the subject?...

I'm going to buy a new graphics card for my ASUS A7N8X-VM 400 Motherboard. It has an integrated
nVidia GeForce 4mx GPU, but I've decided it's time to upgrade cause I'm learning Maya
these days (also, all the new games need pixel shader support). What I'm worried about is which
graphics card is supported on my Motherboard. My motherboard supports 8x graphics 1.5V. Here are

Hello, I have RPGMaker, and I require some Sprite Sets and Graphic sets for the system. Some
different tiles, and things like that. It's all pretty well 2D but if there are some 3D looking
graphics that can be applied to the tile-like format of RPGMaker I'd love to see that website.
Does anyone else have some suggestions to different RPG Creating Modules? Or perhaps other ideas on
programs that can create RPG Gaming formats all together? I only have ideas at this stage so any
help would be appreciated. I'm not really trying to make a game for millions m...

I have just started programming in c++ and have a DOS game set up that would benefit greatly from
some graphics/animations. unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, and to amke
matters worse, have no idea as to how to add graphics in general. so my question to everyone else
is: how do I add graphics to my dos application? if it helps I am using the Dev-Bloodshed compiler,

I have finally decided to get a dedicated Graphics card for my PC. My budget is around 300 USD. I
have been going through the models at nVidia's website and found the models (8600 GT & 9600 GT)
to my liking. My friend suggests that I should go for 8800 because it provides greater performance
than 9600 GT. To me, perfomance is not as big a factor as compatibility, in terms of being able to
play the latest games, is. In that respect is it better to go for the chip which offers higher

advanced > adapter > properties and on the devie usage thing, I "accidentally" clicked disable..

make your computer run a little faster. You can shut off the animation displayed when you minimize
and maximize Windows. 1. Open RegEdit 2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control panel
\Desktop\WindowMetrics 3. Create a new string value "MinAnimate". 4. Set the value data of 0 for Off

Alrighty, Someone had some interest in this sig i created where a window slides back and forth
showing a clear part of a blurred picture. So i figured i would make a tutorial out of it. We
start off in photoshop. Create a new blank picture thats 500x100. Next add whatever you would like
