You can get both free and open-source compilers/assemblers for programming languages such as Java, Fortran, Logo, Modula-2, Modula-3, ASM, etc. at http://www.compilers.net. Both free and commercial compilers can be found there and almost all of them are excellent... They also have some extra stuff and good links wink.gif Hope this helps...

Dev C++ is a free C++ compiler, though it doesn't work for me when I try to use VBC++ 6. You might as well give it a try if you're looking for a free C++ compiler.
