FTP Problems

I have tried everything and i just cant get my ftp to work. I have tried using both ways of logging in to it: ftp.karlshipp.co.uk.astahost.com ftp.karlshipp.co.uk.com ftp.karlshipp.co.uk none work.... also tried it via smartftp and through windows. It just keeps coming back saying it has timed out. I have used ftp before but not had these problems. Any help would be truely appreciative thanks in advance

It's your account name. Whatever you put in when filling out the form as your login. I think it's the same as your cPanel login, which is displayed in your user information to the left of your posts. Just do it in IE, type in:

ftp.yourusername.astahost.com

Then you'll get an error/greeting, hit OK and go to File>Login As and put your username and password in. And that should work. Then go to public_html and upload away.

did you tryed ftp.karlshipp.astahost.com ?

i mean if you username is karlshipp if not replace for your username

ive tried all of them but none seem to work.

my username on cpanel is enve19, domain name is karlshipp.co.uk

could i use the file manager on cpanel to upload as that seems to work

use core ftp lite or smart ftp put this info

host : astahost.com
username : karlshipp@astahost.com
paswd : *****

No good have tried it using the username that has been provided.

did u change u;r paswd after they allot the paswd to u if no then go to cpanel and change the paswd and try the new [paswd...

if no then check u'r paswd and try again,..

have you made sure you're also putting in the proper username and password?

i know it sounds simple, but that's what alwys messes me up
