All of these services mentioned "free PC-to-phone calling" usually only offer you either a preset amount of credit (e.g. $10 when you sign up) or limit your call length to 5 minutes or so. They aren't truly free. Even the Gizmo project has some restrictions like this.

The only one I have actually trusted and believe is Skype, in that year when it allowed you to call USA and Canada for free. It actually worked, and it is a reputable company.

I agree, the only ones I trust are Skype and Ekiga. If I want VOIP calls I definately use SkypeOut, most of my friends use it and I do trust Skype.

Also, the download link doesn't work ...

You can actually call free with PTT dialer offered by Prime Time Telecoms. What it means is that if you are a registered user of PTT dialer, you can actually call your buddy for free where ever he is in the world, so long he is logged on by wifi, internet or otherwise.

I have actually tried it and saw that the call quality was marvelous. To call to india is very cheap 0.0129 this is the cheapest I have ever found to india...Not to mention other services who show us low rate and increase it after you are have been locked in and come up with a new site wherein you do not have any means of transferring your old credit to the new site ..

tuitalk is not working to call from india.

indian govt not allows phone call from india to india without paying charges to them, so service is not available now
