think it is a full programming language. When I think of a scripting langauge, I think of Perl or
JavaScript, Ruby isn't like those, Ruby is a lot more like Java than Perl. What do you think?...

What do you think is the best FTP client? I use SmartFTP and CuteFTP. Out of the two, CuteFTP is
good. SmartFTP does not allow you to upload a whole folder....

I am totally sick of the buggy/crappy Microsoft Outlook that I use. I want to use a different email
client but I don't know of any others. Do you guys know of any email clients that work awesome
with gmail? The only email accounts I have are gmail so of course it would be optimal that I

Hi all This is my first post so I hope I get it right. I am running Vista Business on
32bit platform. Plently of memory and HD space. Fairly secure. Good seci=urity software and constant
updates, regular checks. I was adding a couple of sites to the HOSTS file - which as you know is
not so straightforward in Vista as it was in XP. I had read that it was a good idea to disable the
DNS client when doing this. I did so. Safari immediately stopped working. It wouldf not open any
site; however at the same time I could get Firefox 3 - my regular browser to work with...

Hi, Novell took down their downloads of the Novell Client for Windows 2000/XP and if you have ever
read any of Novell's documentation, you would normally expect it to work on 2000 and XP ONLY.
Well, since this client has been discontinued (evil Novell!!!), I had no choice but to install the
XP/2003 client on my Win2k machine. Despite all odds, it actually worked!!! Edit: Except for the
